The follow-up to the critically acclaimed "A Moon Daguerreotype" from the art rock ensemble from Milan, Italy.
"The Cliché Of Falling Leaves" is based on one single piece of music, on the basis of the symphonic poem, ruled by a narrative cyclic scheme. Sixteen musicians took part of the recording of this 43 minutes suite: from horns to clarnets, saxes, double-basses and many other classical timbers.
Goodbye, Kings became a massive rock orchestra for the occasion, enlightining all their instrumental post-rock spectrum producing a concept movie performed by contemporary dancers. Music and dance were meant to be connected and experienced toghether for an unique journey through seasons, memories and mysterious rooms and corridors.
The season of nature and life found their iconic representation in the ancient myths, memories and wide-spread cultures but all of them were just part of the great cycle of death and rebirth. The leaves that fall
are the image of the things coming to an end, a cliché used by poets,It represent, in a way, the whole poetry itself. And the whole existence of men and nature.
